I… I… fought through my intimidation on making bigger items and sent in my questionnaire.
Then I made a list.
Baby steps.
@tapestry and @steiconi, re: apples, for those sending from out of country, please keep in mind these may be one of those items we’re not allowed to send across the border. I know they’re pretty strict in Canada/US crossings with anything with seeds, so it’s good to check first, just in case.
and re:
You’d be surprised how many people would love this type of art
You’re welcome I hope I haven’t stalled the claims too much with my Canada location, lol… I tried to give lots of options, but I can’t do much about my place of residence
I’m going out of town on Friday, another person said they were also going out of town. I’d definitely do a claim for you. (Not until after my trip though!)
I’ll be finishing up my light it up swap item and my first OWS claim today and shipping Monday so I claimed you @LindyBlues. I had an idea when you first posted but I wanted to get further on my current swap items.
So glad you like everything! The mini books are nechlace charms from the craft store. I have several as they’re so cute!
The faux stained glass was made with paint & clear school glue. I rested it on that black backer board to see what it’d look like…and it decided it was never letting go .
My item for Manders was ready to ship Monday but I’m trying to sort out how to ship. Monday I forgot I had to be on campus all day. Today our vehicle is in the shop. I’m looking into buying postage with tracking online and having our post person pick it up from our home. Regardless it’ll be sent by the due date.
Thank you! The faux stained glass was pretty straight forward. I’d like to try it again, but this time I’d use craft paint rather than acrylic and a MUCH thinner mix with the ratio skewed more clear glue than paint. I like the vibrant colors I got…but it doesn’t quite capture the opacity of stained glass. And you need to allow for several days dry time. Here’s a tutorial for the technique:
I used craft vinyl rather than faux leading for the black lines.
I was worried about missing my send deadline for @Rlynn but I’ve squeaked in on the very last day. Plus I got to finish the extra I wanted to and I’m 95% happy with how it came out. Yay!
