I love it!!
Ugh!
Before sending it to the Time Out shelf I am trying a totally different pattern. It’s still being difficult, though, so stay tuned to the “Use it or lose it” thread when my patience gets completely depleted lol
It is such a pretty yarn. The 2nd try looks promising.
Oh how my sanity wishes this was just the “second try.” Lol i’m on like pattern 5 and multiple tries for each. I’m going to call it “perseverance” and not “stubbornness.” We’ll see how that goes
If I may make a small suggestion, even though you’ve already frogged this, try crocheting looser. I think I know which pattern this was and it probably shouldn’t be cupping
It definitely shouldn’t be cupping. I’ve gone as loose as I can and with the largest hook I have (a “P”) and it still felt stiff. I’m not buying anything (no larger hook, etc.) so I’m pivoting to a different pattern. Again. Although I am starting to feel like the yarn just doesn’t want to be a kid’s sweater. Which is fine, not every plan pans out and often the yarn has a mind of its own, but I aim to give it all the opportunities my sanity will allow.
The finish line is so close!!!
Wow, it looks wonderful!!
It looks so good!!
It looks fantastic, @Abbeeroad! I love that color
It’s about halfway done, but at least one tricky bit is out of the way. About an inch and a half past the pockets:
Look at it! A sweater!! That looks great Abbie
I am so close to finishing the body. Just need to bind off now. Then dyeing more yarn and moving onto the sleeves.
Looks like it fits well!
Yessss!! I really like the black.
I’m not sure. I’m reserving final judgment until the underarms are grafted and it’s blocked. I have mixed feelings at the moment. I’m going to wear the heck out of it regardless though, lol!!
I’ve got a cup of tea and a large amount of stitch markers. Going to try to figure out how to finish the pockets neatly. The pattern just tells me to do it with zero guideance
If it ends up too big for your liking, there’s always trying to felt it a little bit to shrink…but that is definitely risky. Or frogging and starting over I bet you fall in love with it once it’s done though. It’s looking gorgeous.
