My gosh, that’s so beautiful.
I love both of those yarns!
I am finally to the hem on this cardi. I really want to finish this because there’s another (lightweight) cardi I want to start for Summer.
Looking good!!
I love both of the yarn choices! The speckles in the gray are amazing, and that red is so vibrant
I can’t take credit for my yarn selection. It’s what was recommended in the pattern.
The tee is off the needles and getting a soak. I did a pre-blocking test fit and love it. I hope it doesn’t stretch out too much with blocking.
I bought this yarn to make a pocket shawl, but when I stitched it up, the unique stitches of the pattern did not show well, so I had to find a simpler pattern. It is a crochet pattern called Autumn Shrug. It technically isn’t a sweater, but it wears like a sweater so I decided it could go here. I was motivated by this thread to complete it, unfortunately, it is getting warmer outside so maybe I can get some wear next year or wear it around the house.
I did not intend to buy more yarn, but ended up having to buy 3 more skeins. I wanted it to be long enough to cover my rear and I wanted pockets.
I am not in love with this style as the fit is very loose and the sleeve opening is huge. I may sew them up more to fit better, but for now, it is finished!
Yay for finished! It looks great. I hope you find a way for it to fit the way you like.
I’m contemplating casting on another sweater. I have the yarn and a pattern picked out, but like you said, the weather is getting warmer…do you guys think a knitted tank top would fit here or am I stretching the definition of “sweater” too much?
I think bigger wearable projects are fine here. Those are the projects that are toughest to get through…maybe wearable yarn projects and not just sweaters?
I think a knitted tank is still a sweater…just a sleeveless one!
True. I feel like a sweater vest would still fit, right? So a tank should be along those same lines, yeah? Yeah.
This is the one I’m looking at. I like that it’s inspired by NYC. I don’t have yarn yet though, so casting on will have to wait.
I love the detailing on it. It looks like it could also be easily adaptable, like maybe a plain back or straight across back instead of a “V” and a longer length. I love the look of the yarn.
Ooh, that pattern’s been in and out of my queue so many times. It’s adorable and I love it, but haven’t knit it yet. You should totally do it.
ETA: …and post it here, too.
I’ve been trying to decide on a yarn color since I posted this. Why is it so hard to commit?
For summer, I would pick a blue or cream. I don’t think there are too many colors that wouldn’t look good with your dark hair. I am not a fan of pastels, but cream or natural looks pretty good on everyone and it goes with a lot of things. A green would be nice, too…I’m not helping, am I…
That shrug looks really comfortable @AIMR ! And yes, I agree a finish is a win, even if it’s not quite what you were going for.
@Abbeeroad Two of Wands is great! The Mondrian sweater I made a couple of years back was ToW. That tank top def counts - I think expanding this craftalong to be a wearable garment -along would be great. They can be a slog and it’s nice to have company and cheerleaders on the sidelines as we go.
I think you’d look great in green But go with the vibes and what feels inspiring. It’ll look great on you!
Haha…I had green in my cart for about an hour. Then I was leaning towards silver gray. The blue I like is out of stock, so at least that’s not complicating my decision.
Ooo…this sweater? Love it.
Yup that one! Great stash buster.
Ooh, I like that color!
