Lake beaches are great too! And you’re far less likely to run into a shark. But you run into Bigfoot on a regular basis, so who knows.
I’m not sure what to make yet, but I found this skinny beach quilt when I was looking for ideas!
I have an idea so I will watch Endeavor and craft the night/weekend away!
So I didn’t think I would get the chance to do this and I didn’t think I had much in the way of beachy things in my stash, but… then I remembered this biggo stash of a weird thing I rescued over 100 of, like, 12 years ago. So I found them and started poking around for inspo using search terms for the real thing these imitation things are based on and then I remembered this other cool set of things I picked up, like, 7 years ago and I think one of those will work. Plus, I’ve got stuff left over from a job, like, 6 years ago to kind of get me to a good base to work from. Long story, “short” now I have, like, 3 projects for the next couple-few days!
Good thing the days are still plenty long at my latitude.
This is so fun! I can’t wait to see what everyone makes! I’m away this weekend but miiight be able to squeeze in some crafting on Monday.
Ohhhh so glad I checked LC today instead of scrolling tik tok- I was able to get some crafting done currently night over here will take photos tomorrow and post about them.
This challenge has inspired me to finally get started on a project that I’ve had in my head since before the plague! A vintage inspired apron made entirely from stash. I can’t find a way to tie it to the theme, but it’s done anyway, so I’m glad about that! My brain is still a bit fried from Covid so I really thought this was the right moment for a super-easy project.
Can’t wait to see it
A cheerful apron to wear is an awesome project! Lightweight fabric is summery, plus you can always wear it to prep food for a cookout, or when making popsicles, or even canning summer’s bounty of produce.
My first attempt was a fail, trying it a second time with a different medium.
Well, I suppose I have some rhubarb from my in-laws garden that urgently needs to be turned into jam! And I’d have to wear an apron to make sure my best Sunday dress doesn’t turn pink.
See, it totally works!
Heck yeah for our first challenge entry! Way to go.
Woo! Hitting road blocks here, so hope I do have time to get an FP!
I hope so too!! I really want to see that life sized pirate ship I’m probably the slowest crafter in this community so I do think it’s really funny that I’m the first person with a project finished & posted!
I’m working on a project to amuse you all. It includes multiple steps, and I’ve been working on it in between my regular Sunday chores (meal planning, grocery shopping, & lunch prep for the week). Oh, and in between torturing my poor sweet baby with Tummy Time. I have no idea what the heck I’m going to DO with my weird project once it’s done, but I decided I wanted to make it anyways. LOL.
Friday morning, I got right to it and produced a needed item all from stash. Then I got the idea this has to be beachy or summery. I could stretch it to include my item, but…
Thank you for this fun challenge!
I finally got to make an idea I had in my head for a long time, and had a really fun crafter-noon with my daughter (and we cleaned the table, too, so lots of win).
Here’s my entry:
My project has taken a couple of turns - some good some less so - but I am still going to try to finish tomorrow. For now, glaze is drying.
