The Postcard Project - Part 2

Continueing my quest to decorate all 28 postcard blanks I recieved as a Christmas present, here are the next 4. You can see the first 4 here:
The Postcard Project - Pt 1

Post card 5:

Inspired by the art of Geninne Zlatkis and her use of white ink to outline, accent, and create patterns.

Postcard 6:

Based on the tutorial Paint Mushrooms With Watercolor And Ink by Stephanie Kilgast on Skillshare.

Postcard 7:

Based on the tutorial Drawing Daily Monsters by Stefan G. Bucher on Skillshare.

Postcard 8:

I made two ink splat bases while working on Postcard 7, but I really didn’t like the way the second one looked. So I decided to play with some new Ranger acrylic dabbers and distress sprays I’d recently bought off FB Marketplace. Combine that with some watercolor, a black liner pen, and a script text stamp and this is the result. It has a lovely bronze shimmer that doesn’t come across in the picture.

They’re all splendid! I think my favorite was the first one. I love how colorful and the tortoise is. I love the white detailing :purple_heart:

They are all so lovely, I find it hard to pick a favourite. If I had to, I think I would pick the monster, because I’m a sucker for silly lil guys.
Thanks for sharing them.

@LittleCogs - thank you! He was really fun. Continuing the tradition of my family stealing at least one pastcard per set, my daughter claimed that one because “he’s so derpy.”

@Magpie - thank you! That one has me itching to do some more mixed media.

I love this project that you took on for yourself! What a great way to try new and different techniques. I really like how the flower card came out. You did a great job repurposing the already ink spattered card and how nice that you also got to put your new supplies to use!

Thank you! I was excited to pick up some Ranger sprays. They’re normally pricey enough I can’t justify it but these were a bargain.
