Tiny Shiny Nessie

I made this tiny Nessie for @JoyfulClover in the Cryptid round 2 swap.

I made this pattern before, but this time around I used size 10 crochet thread and a 1.4mm hook. This one came out significantly smaller! I forgot to measure her before I sent her off, but I’m guessing she’s between 11-13 inches.


This tin is 6 inches long to give an idea of size.

I lost track of how many hours she took to finish. I kept going cross eyed trying to see the tiny stitches as I was working, so I would have to put it down for a while to rest my eyes. I’m glad I persevered though, because she’s cute!

I found some reflective buttons at our local ReCraft shop (think non-profit thrift store specifically for craft items), and under like they were the perfect touch for Nessie. She probably uses them to trick the eyes of humans so we don’t get a clear view of her :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
