Thanks! I’ve been loving yellows and golds lately. This is from stash and I’m loving looking at it while working it up.
If it’s for a baby-baby and not an older toddler, I would leave the pom off. They could pull it off or pull out strands or chew on it, etc.

What pattern are you using? I have to knit as many newborn/preemie hats as I can for a charity event my knitting guild is doing. That hat looks perfect!
Woops! Totally forgot about this. Meh, wasn’t a pattern anyway. I just threw it together after watching this vid. Decreasing While Maintaining Ribbing Pattern // Technique Tuesday
I think what I did on the decrease is…
I decreased til I removed one complete double ribbing over.
- P2 K2 P2 K2
- P2 K2 P1 SSK K1
- P2 K2 P1 K2
- P2 K2 SSK K1
- P2 K4
- P2 K1 SSK K1
- P2 K3
- P2 SSK K1
- P2 K2
Then after the first initial decrease, 1-9, I repeated those rows, but skipped every odd number after 1.
- P2 K2 P2 K2
- P2 K2 P1 SSK K1
- P2 K2 SSK K1
- P2 K1 SSK K1
- P2 SSK K1
And continued that til I had a small enough hole to pull the yarn through all the stitches.
It was a small enough pattern, so it made it fairly easy. 128 stitches => 32 ribs, 8 divides 32, so I worked in 8’s.
Starting with 128 stitches…(3.75 mm circular needles).
Rib stitch, rib stitch, decrease next 2 rib stitches down to one…96 stitches.
Rib stitch, decrease next 2 rib stitches down to one…64 stitches.
Decrease 2 rib stitches down to one…32 stitches. Pull yarn through remaining stitches, and weave/tie ends in.
If anyone really wants the pattern, and wants me to rewrite it so it doesn’t look like a chimpanzee was let loose on my keyboard (
), just say so and I’ll actually spend the time to make it legible, heh.

HOOOOOOO boy!
I have no idea what I was thinking. O_o. but I didn’t count out where I was going to make the cables correctly. So, have to undo the entire last row…I’m going to make some potato soup, eat it, then curse my addled brain while taking it out.
On a positive note…at least I don’t have to start all over again.

Ok! Looks like I’m finished with all errors (better not have just jinxed it, 
).
However, maybe I should have put more than four cables…
. Meh, I’ll know for sure when I’m finished.
As for the button and bow…I’m still not sure what I’ll do. I want the button to be about a little smaller than two inches, but what color? Hmm!
Then the bow…lace knitting, but what edging? I do think black would make a nice bow…will I like it with this grey? 
. Will have to wait and see, heh.

Speaking of errors, just realized that the heel flaps in my socks are about 8 rows too short. But, they fit okay and I’m not frogging them to fix it.

I’ve restarted these leg warmers 2 times and just realized I’m doing a 2x2 rib instead of 1x1, lol. Guess I’ll start again. I don’t think I’ve ever cast on a project only once…

My used knitting book came in today from thriftbooks so I will be starting on a purple cabled scarf with tassels. First I have to finish my latchhook kit then figure out where I put the yarn.

In between doing different things, I’ve been working on the railroad, all the live-long…wait…No! I’ve been trying to finish the second pumpkin bag that I started quite some time ago.
I don’t know why, but this one is more…stiffer?..solid? than the first one I made.
Also, it has a bit of a hole on the underside…and…well…A button would look nice here,

I automatically started singing when I read this, haven’t heard that song for years.
I did right when I thought it before writing it, heh.
Ok! There is a point when the buttons are too big. The hoops to tie the ends up were just way too loose, but meh, the button was too big anyway. Pppp!

Found my yarn! It was in a bag I hadn’t unpacked yet.
Pattern calls for DK weight. This yarn is labeled as bulky although it doesn’t look it to me. Oh well. It’s a scarf and the original is for children. Horseshoe cables. Fringe ends. Purple.

I often switch out yarns for hats and scarves…it will just be a nice plush scarf…can’t wait to see it…
I purchased some Aran weight yarn, which is between worsted and bulky…I mostly just go one needle or hook size down and it seems to keep gauge…I have no idea why I ordered it because I never wrote down what I planned on using it for like I normally do…it is stash now, which I really did NOT want to do…ugh.
