Yeah…all my bags are labeled with the pattern, any link or notes as to purchase, free, etc. and usually the hook or needles as well…I then hang them in the guest room closet, except the one I am working on…I think since I purchased the yarn right after our last knitting guild meeting that I meant to make hats for a charity…I will read the minutes to see if maybe that is what I bought the yarn for: Random hats!

I signed up for one of those monthly subscriptions (Hooks & Needles). This was very soft yarn, but oh so splitty and such a basic pattern (but well written and great for beginners!). I got a second box and was not impressed, so I will give it one more month to decide if I will continue. For the price, I would rather just get a skein of handspun or hand dyed!
Just using random acrylic yarns in my stash. The mitts are too big for my hands. I was going to remake them, but decided to donate or give them away to someone with bigger hands…

I really love that blue and yellow colorway! A shame the mitts didn’t fit. I have definitely been thinking of making fingerless mitts this year for Xmas gifts but have been thinking about fit based on our convos…

I found my pattern that is a perfect fit. I am going to stick with it and maybe just change up the stitch design a bit.

So cute!
Working on a late xmas gift. The orange one is one I have made for myself, very nice and cosy (made in a sock yarn). The blue one is for my besties mum, a much nicer yarn (50 merino/50 gotlands-sheep, which is a Swedish sheep). I thought I was about 2 thirds in, but it seems like Im only half way through.

Third time’s the charm. The third part towards the top (above the crappy bamboo stitch) is what I was trying to accomplish.

SSKtb Slip stitch knit wise, slip stitch knit wise, insert needle through the back of those stitches on the right needle with the left needle below the right needle, knit them together.
Now…What purpose could this stitch be useful for??? 
doesn’t work with the bamboo stitch…so…what???

I started a headband/ear warmer for myself over the weekend. Hats and my hair don’t get along. Hoping this will save my ears a bit.

Look how bent my size 0 bamboo needles are from knitting these! They are ornaments for next year’s Christmas Tree fundraiser…thought I would get an early start since the yarn was free from one of our guild members!

Oh yeah! very doable…now just to get the stitch count right, heh.
And I’ll want to keep this on hand when I finalize the pattern…which should be by tomorrow night…I hope.

Ok! modifying the last video, I was able to find a method to put loops on both sides.
This one utilizes four stitches per stitch.
knit into stitch, do not drop stitch. Pull yarn between stitches to form a loop and hold with a finger to pull yarn between stitches wrapping yarn around right needle, make loop on reverse side, and hold with finger bringing yarn between stitches, knit stitch, and drop left stitch. cast off the fourth stitch over the three stitches.
On wrong side, knit those three stitches together.
This one is a little more difficult, but makes only two stitches.
knit stitch, do not drop left stitch. pull yarn to make loop between stitches, hold with finger. pull yarn between fingers and knit a stitch, do not drop stitch from left needle. make a loop, hold with a finger. pull yarn between stitches, purl stitch, and drop stitch from left needle. Cast off the third stitch over the two stitches on the right needle.
Wrong side, knit two together.
There might be a better way, but for the moment these work quite well, and the loops won’t pull out nor deform the pattern.

I love how you figure out how to knit things…I am definitely a pattern follower when it comes to knitting…
Hmmmmmm!!! I do like how the double sided knitting holds onto the swiffer, but it does decreasc that part a lot. what might work, is if I knit only the double sided parts first, and increase stitches only after the first five to eight stitches…maybe…
Pppp! Hmm! Also, I like the double sided looping better than the staggering I went with. Oof! just not feeling it right now…so I’ll stop for the day and work on it again tomorrow. I’ll just use this one for testing different things out…Really hoped I’d be done, but meh, I should know by now, it almost never works that way,

Using a lenin like stitch does help with the decreases done by the double sided stitch, but…but butt…do have to make a loop on the back side for two rows, and the front side for two rows.
Ppppp! may just need to be sparse…Realistically, I’m probably the only person who would be bothered by the sparseness.
Taking a closer look…only the rows I knitted front & back loops were really tight…Meh, I guess I’ll keep the last pattern…Ppppp! now to write it all down.
