What are you knitting?

That’s really cool!

@CatwithSevenToes knitting a swiffer cover is perfectly reasonable to me! Wild and wonderful. Itreally the figuring out how, isn’t it, thats fun.

I used to knit kids mittens for our church’s holiday fair, and then just stopped. But after using up all my random yarn stash on baskets, I got the itch to knit again and had to purchase yarn for mittens.

I like the varigated yarn because I get a range of colors, but matching the mittens is tricky. I use long circular neeedles and knit in the round using the magic loop method.

Those are fantastic mittens!

Oof! Somehow I’ve been having issues with the finalized pattern. The loops on the end almost pull out every so often, leaving a really loose loop. As well as…I don’t know how I got the starting loops on the side that’s supposed to be the back at the beginning,

I wonder if I skipped a row on the first 6 rows.. Hooo boy! Just means I’ll have to knit another one…Well, I need at least two done anyway (as I have an optional stitch that can be done in place of the loops). Actually, now I think about it, I may want to add a non-looped pattern to it, too……so I’ll need three finished.

I did find a better way to start the double sided knitting, by using KFB’s instead of cast ons. The end result looks really nice.

Drat! Going to have to stop for now. Getting lightheaded and making too many mistakes since I wrote the above…

@Abbeeroad - I bet! It looks super cozy!

I’m knitting the Take Your Time Pullover from Caidree. It’s a basic, slightly oversized vest. All from stash, too!

Love that color @tendstowardschaos!

I’m attempting to start some leg warmers again…

That looks like a nice yarn!

Thanks!

Those are going to be fabulous leg warmers!

I had three skeins of this cotton DK yarn in my stash so I decided to make some new market bags for the summer farmers’ market. I’ll probably give them away as I have so many of them…always meet interesting people at the market when I do this.

Love this idea (both the making and the giving).

Ok! taking a break helped. I finally have the kinks worked out. I just had to drop the outside loops, and remove the linen stitch in favor of slipped stitches every third row (which reverses the staggered loops. row 1: 3rd stitch loop on back, row 2: 2nd & 4th stitches loops on front. Row 3: slip four stitches. Row 4: 3rd stitch loop on front. Row 5: 2nd & 4th stitches loops on back. Row 6: Slip four stitches).

it’s still not as frilly as I’d like, but I am way overthinking it. it’ll still dust just as well, .

I started this ages ago from the leftover Jacob sheep yarn after another project. Now I need to figure out something for the icord edges since there’s not mich left at all. It8s destined to become a large coaster or small mug rug depending on shrinkage when I toss it in the machine.

Edit: I think I’ve got it

The light brown yarn will full for sure, and I think the thinner blue yarn is at least part wool too. We’ll see… The light brown yarn is too thinnon its own so I needed to add something.

“AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!”, I laugh like a maniac.

“IT IS KNIT”, I exclaim in my best dr. Frankenstein voice.

Now I just have to write down the parts I didn’t write down, and record the video and I will have another pattern for the Lettuce Knit document.

Very cool!

Ok! The pattern is definitely good to go, but the brain is way too hazy to finalize it. :no_mouth:.

Maybe I just need to stop overthinking it, and just finish it as is.
