I LOVE geocaching! Please post before and afters!!
I have some ginger, turmeric, and lemons waiting for to be juiced, too. My son and I were recently unwell and immunity shots were really effective in the combat. Enjoy!
Awesome! My handle on there is the same as here ![]()
I have the “before” pic. My husband and I just picked up the wire brushes for the drill to use on the rust. Unsure if I’ll be able to do that today, as I am ill with probably a cold. I also don’t want to be idle, so…we’ll see!
I finished a few more winter items but unless the weather changes back to cold, they will be packed up for next year:
My forecast is saying the cold will be back tomorrow. ![]()
Soooo cute!!! I love working with felt…the stitching to create is froggy toes is an example of your attention to the tiniest of details!
Uhm, and it is Mushroom March so you got that in as well!!
I added my finish above, but also made a post…
March/May mushroom/monster I am confused about what’s when, ack!
I think it’s monster march and mushroom may but I’m all for mushrooms in all months.
Current status:
I think you’re right–as you can see, I am also confused! I just like mushrooms…and monsters! ha ha
Busy tomorrow, so here is the final question for the quarter:
Week 12: Name on project you did this quarter, large or small, that you are especially pleased with. Are you looking forward to a similar project this spring (or fall for those in opposite zones)?
For me, I am especially pleased with the drawstring project bags I made this quarter. I enjoyed picking fabrics to go together as well as the construction of these bags. I feel like this is an easy go-to bag for me and can be something to give or keep.
I do feel like I want to make a few more in the spring and it has motivated me to look at other kinds of bags or baskets that will help me use up my fabric stash.
I really liked that sewing kit and a cookie tin! I especially enjoyed taking it to the office and pranking my coworkers, haha.
Is this the end of the first quarter? Can you even freaking believe that? Ugh, I feel like I haven’t even gotten started on anything this year! Maybe I am gonna start counting today, the spring equinox as the start of my year. The weather is thawing out and so am I…
I did pick up a bunch more tins to make sewing kits but I think I will table that, I don’t really need one (I gave the first one away to a friends daughter) and I am downsizing the studio pretty radically at the moment too. I think I will just hold off on making anything new for myself, except for clothes.
I am super in love and pleased with the item I made for the sculpture swap. I’ll definitely make more figures. My partner won’t recieve for several weeks so I can’t share it yet.
Maybe I’ve got a recency bias, but I’m really happy with the stamp I made at the makerspace program yesterday. It turned out almost exactly as I planned, and I found the carving process really chill. I don’t have any immediate plans to carve again this spring, but I wouldn’t rule it out, either.
Your stamp contributed to your art piece that won!!
The snowman candle mat really made me happy. I had that kit for 5 or 6 years and kept neglecting it and finishing it made me feel good and seeing it daily brought me a lot of happiness over the season. I definitely will do more work with fabric as the year progresses.
Obviously, I’m happy with the piece too
.
Looking at my list post above, I realize that I’m terrible at photographing everything I make…but even including the items that didn’t make it here (yet), I’m incredibly happy with how my orange cat cross-stitch turned out. It packs a nice bit of detail into a relatively small space, it’s cheerful, and it reminded me of why I love cross-stitching. I won’t be making anything exactly like this any time soon, but I will be trying to embrace the “do more of what makes you happy” philosophy.
I’m really tickled with the Crackalope I just finished last week. I find it particularly satisfying to do these projects that use all or almost all stash and that involve more than one skill set/medium. BUT I was also really pleased with my latest house model which had been on my mind for months and that I just got wrapped and packaged to ship away to its recipient.
