50 Projects, More or Less, 2024

Awww, you! I surprised myself with that number! I think the craft-a-day craftalong in Feb set me up to feel natural getting a little in most days and lots of little bits add up to a lot!

Sorry for commenting so late in year, but this is fantastic! So useful with the storage below, and always there when you need it. No dragging out the iron.

It is really great, so functional. Easy to make & customize as well.

So… I’m getting my craft room organized still and we are gathering all the WIPs into one spot. So far I have two cubes full. This does not include my project bags for knitting and crochet. :weary:

I am furiously trying to finish some WIPS so they don’t travel with me when I move…but, I get distracted by wanting to make more things as well…I will say that I have rethought or just tossed out a bunch of WIPS that no longer call to me. Some WIPS just are boring, but I still love them…mostly afghans and shawls that just are rows and rows and rows of the same pattern. I don’t do well if I get bored so I have to break them up.

I have frogged or tossed so many WIPs that I lost interest in finishing. There’s no shame in letting go of things that have ceased to be useful/enjoyable. Life is too short to do things that you don’t need (or want) to do. And, having ADD/ADHD magnifies this. I have at least a dozen WIPs right now. :joy:

@AIMR @tendstowardschaos
I’m glad I’m not the only one. I think a quarter of the projects are repairs that just need a little bit of glue.

Got more WIPS out of the way…

Painted a small frame for my husband. He wanted me to frame the logo from a plastic bag from his favorite incense shop:

Removed velcro and added snaps to a pouch from Panama that my sister got me from the annual Panama Canal Zone Reunion:

Lined a couple of crochet pouches that I made last year:

I have so many more, but no way I am going to get to them all until I get moved and settled…I do have a few simple ones like these that I will get done over this weekend. I just need to stop starting new things and not finishing them!!!

None of these took long at all, so I am motivated to get more done!

You’re going strong! I’m in a “WiP sweep” over here, too. Frogged a couple, am finishing a few. I want to enter summer with zero languishing WiPs so i can start whatever strikes my mood.

Keep going! You’re inspiring me to not wander off from my goal!

What I did was get a box of gallon sized ziploc bags and some photo boxes to hold the things I needed for future projects or WIPS that I don’t have time for just yet. I recorded it all in a notebook, separating WIPS from new projects I wanted to do. I play this game where I have to do three WIPS (some of them just need a button, or ends woven in, etc.) before I can start anything new.

I won’t start the summer WIP-free, but at least it is all organized! (well, almost, as I still have a few bins to go through as I pack). I have thrown out or given away so much and it feels great!

That’s so awesome!!! Organizing is both time-consuming and fun.

I finished project 21 and they all have pics now. I’ll probably make #22 today and keep plodding along on this cross stitch that has been so dang complicated for no reason.

Yep, made a super simple card to go with a present for my son’s friend. She likes hedgehogs.
That makes twenty-two projects finished.

I was going to work on the cross stitch for my friend, but the night got groovy. We watched a pop music film from a weekend in California in the later 1960s. The name of it is escaping me.

That’s a cute little make @irid3sc3nt, yay for 21 done!!

Your list is looking fantastic @PrincessP!!

I’ve been doing plenty of making, especially art, but I’m woefully behind on taking pictures and keeping track - I need to spend a bit of time going back through things and getting organised - that’ll be a goal for July for me :grinning:

It was Monterrey Pop! Fun times. They show video of people as well so you get a sense for the crowd. Lots of interesting clothing.

Jimmy Hendrix played at Monterrey…I loved the bell bottoms and wild colors…groovy, man…I want to decorate my house like that but hubby is not on board…ha
