50 Projects or Bust! 2025

Whew this will be a stretch for me, since I am crafting like molasses this year:

1. knit striped sweater for friend
2. patchwork jean pillow cover
3. Izzy knit hood

That hood is AMAZING!

Hah, we’ll see how much my dog likes it, but her ears look so cold during the winter! We’ll try it :joy:

Here are my 3 WIPs.

  1. Cocktail dress (started prior to last year’s fire fighters’ ball. Now I really want to wear it this year)
  2. DD’s loft bed area (finally almost finished)
  3. Winter dress (because I need cozy things now that it starts getting cold)

OK–I got the first of my 3 list items done! How is everyone doing with their short list?

This was a great kick-in-the-pants for me, tbh. My hands are really aching from knitting (I think it may be beyond the usual take-a-break to reset, and possibly signs of early arthritis since it runs in my family  ), so I probably need to update my list to be less knitting focused.

After rummaging in my storage boxes, I found an old Halloween costume I never finished, so that was completed yesterday that I’ll be wearing to a friend’s party next week! And I picked out the in-progress patchwork pieces for my future pillow covers. Knitting is a comfort craft, but it’s nice to shake the cobwebs off these other projects and techniques I enjoy as well.

Good idea to mix things up. It is physically better to avoid repetitive motions and postures as well as mentally challenging to do different things.

I like having multiple projects going that fit my physical ability, mood, etc. Knitting, crochet and embroidery are my favorites but sitting too long is hard on me. Having to move around more to paint or sew/iron/layout pieces helps a lot.

Feel free to update your list to meet your needs. As long as three projects get done by the deadline, you are still in the running!

I haven’t started any of my 3 yet. I need to finish two dog watercolors and a set of Halloween cards before I can even begin.

Your dolls are adorable!

I did some pinning on my dress today. This is the pattern I’m using and it’s driving me a bit crazy. Hopefully I get some sewing time the next days. I need to finish it by Saturday

Hemmed some pants and sewed some doll dresses, which brings me to 48 and an item off my list!

My 3 projects that I would love to get done before the start of December include:

  1. Create a block for the Witchy Wares quilt
  2. Embroider a sweatshirt
  3. Create 4 Q4 Quiltalong prize packs

This feels like a lot to do (especially considering that I’ll probably be out of town for a total of a week and a half to two weeks) and I have a tendency to procrastinate if it feels like a lot. So, I really need this extra push!

I finished my dress:

I try to start a topic for it tonight.

I also updated my list. I’m at 26 projects so far but I have still some that I didn’t post, yet.

It turned out so nice! The color is pretty and the embellishment is eye-catching!

I keep ignoring even my short-list! Maybe I am anti-list and need to stop making them! ha
