Ohh that is so pretty!! Way too many half square triangles though XD

I cheat. I start with two squares, sew around the edges, then cut the square - corner to corner - until I have four squares. They end up as bias squares, but I’m really careful to match up seams when I join them and not stretch them out.

I love the new technique I found on HST…I will never use another method! Accordian half Square triangles…awesome

@tendstowardschaos I’ve seen that method and I’ve been meaning to try it. Just haven’t had a project for it.

@AIMR that’s a pretty cool way to do it. Though I wish it was a little more chain piecing friendly… maybe doing a leader quilt that way would be fun.

I actually do a few methods depending on my mood…I like the 4 at a time and also the chain piecing…sometimes you want to go fast, sometimes not…that is what I love about quilting…the same with flying geese…I like the process…and the results are generally the same…all fun!

I also finished up a quilt top last night! The prints are Charlie Harper bark cloth from Birch fabric. So they are textured. The cream/tan is a woven that has a similar texture to the bark cloth.

Wow! All these lovely quilt projects! And I think that HST method is pretty cool. I’m not much of a quilter but I’d like to try it sometime!

I really like that color scheme…I am drawn to interesting mixes…just love the green, pink, tan with the splash of dark…

Ooh, I like that! Thanks for sharing! I have so many scraps and that might really come in handy.

I made a circuit board bug. Just because. It’s for hanging on the wall.

That cute little bug is a welcome house guest!

DS2 and I dyed a rainbow of roving using food coloring, and I’m finally done spinning it up. There’s about 100-120 yards of each color, pre-wash.

Oh I love all that pretty yarn! I need to do more yarn projects.

The cross stitch looks very nice. I don’t know the reference myself though.

I made this quilt top last week. It’s been quilted but it will be a couple of days before I get it bound so here is the unquilted picture.

I spun up some wool that’s been in my stash for years. I had messed up dyeing it (food coloring, used too much) and it turned my hands pink while I was spinning. But, I set the color and I like it much better now. :joy:

I finally finished the Dancing Afghan!
Not sure what number I am up to, but will need to do some “quick wins” to catch up I think!

Edit to add: I’m only up to 12! Almost halfway through the year and only a quarter-way through the 50! Christmas presents here I come!
