Yes! Even cooler than before!
The narrow band of pink sounds great! I think your fix will be even better than the original plan too!
Oh wow what a wonderful save.
I worked from home for years in our dining room. My wife was quite quiet when she was home. But, she had a tendency to blast home into the kitchen talking at top volume. Just couldn’t wait to tell me something.
Luckily I often was muted and listening in meetings and not presenting.
Retired now…and now like interuptions.
The saved star block is beautiful!

I’m in love with this.
What a happy accident those HSTs were! It’s super-cute!
@MistressJennie you have been busy. And I have two of your beautiful creations! I feel very lucky and blessed.
Yes, such a happy accident! It looks a lot better with the pink strip.
Looks great! Love the center and the pink stripe.
Finally finished the top yesterday. I think it’s 51” or 52” square. Now I have to quilt both kid quilts by next weekend!
Oh, how color choices change the vibe. From sunny day to sunset. Beautiful.
So many pretty stars, @MistressJennie and @skrutt!
I just finished the economy blocks for the fourth, and final, I-Spy quilt. Now I get to trim them all to size. Not my favorite part.
-I MistressJennie, offer Scrappy Potato Chip Quilt for August’s prompt
-I MistressJennie , submit “Make one quilt with 2.5” strips" for my goal list entry .
I need to have both of those kid quilts I’ve been working on, ready to give away on the 7th. I was starting to get worried that I might not make it on time. But on Saturday I got the Safari one quilted, and yesterday I got it bound. Then today I managed to piece the backing, sandwich, and quilt the Farm Star one! All that’s left is binding. And maybe machine embroidering labels for them.
I’m on a roll!!!
Of course you did, you’re so fast!!
Don’t forget, everyone has until the 7th to submit the August prompt (squares) and BOM.
September Prompt:
Circles
For the shape prompts, the monthly shape needs to be highlighted. This can be done in a variety of ways. For example, if the shape is a square, you could make a square patchwork quilt. You could quilt a pattern that features squares. You could create a quilt block using square patterned fabric. Whatever you do, just have fun and make the monthly shape shine!
September BOM:
Connemara - nominated by @skrutt

Quarter 3 Challenge
(July 1 - September 30)
Christmas in July (and August and September)!
This challenge is all about holiday crafting! Despite the name of the challenge, all holidays will apply. So, gather your fabric and thread and quilt something for a holiday. Whether it’s a wall hanging, a table runner, a throw quilt, or any other quilted good, so long as it’s holiday themed, it will work for this challenge!
Goal List:
This is the last month to share your third quarter goals with us. You can earn an entry into the prize drawing for every goal you share and complete this quarter!
My August shape challenge block: squares. I didn’t have enough fabric or mental organization to make the Love in a Mist, but started fiddling with what I did have. Sewed 2 strip sets, cut off the uneven ends, cut strips in half, wondered what to put in the middle and a fellow quilter suggested making a 4 patch with my end bits. And voila! Quilt block. With squares. And now everyone is asking me what the pattern is. I’m sure it exists, but I made it up as I went.
Hope this works for squares. And now it sounds like I need to A: write up the pattern and B: make at least 8 more
