Perfect use of the kitty square!
I didn’t finish by the end of February, but I just finished editing and formatting today. Now i just need to create the cover and upload for publishing.
Everyone’s projects look great! I haven’t been around so much lately because I’ve been working on some etchings for an exhibition a friend and I are doing for a local art trail.
So these are a lot of my fifty projects for the year …
I also completed a few of my WIPGO projects in the last several weeks, but hadn’t posted pics yet.
Not a great photo, but this is a housedress made out of nice remnants and leftovers from other projects (Dottie Angel Simplicity pattern) (G-2)
2 small embroideries I had in the pile of embroidery-pieces-waiting-to-become-a-thing, that I made up into scrappy mug rugs/mats. (O-1 + I-4)
And this is my updated WIPGO card -
I think it’s telling me I REALLY need to finish that bomber jacket that’s been sitting half-made since last year!
Your mug rugs are so lovely with the addition of the embroidered pieces!
Also, I have a project from you made with the fabric you used on the pockets of your dress! What a fun way to use up beautiful fabrics!
Your art work certainly adds up to a lot of projects! The framing alone must have take hours!
Oh yes!! I think I made you a sunglasses case with it - that must be many years ago now I really like that fabric, and I’ve hoarded bits of it for ages!
Thank you my friend yes the framing did take hours, it was a very late night before we did the hanging - but someone did buy a frog at the opening day yesterday!
Look at you pretty lady. We need to see all of those etchings, they need their own post. And what magic do you have with mug rug design, they are fabulous, so considered and just right.
I’m up to somewhere between 17 & 19 projects! No idea why my total from my notebook and my list here don’t match but that’s a problem for another day. Fixed!
I’ve really been on a bookbinding kick this year, but they haven’t all been very aesthetic. These are about 4 inches tall and very drab.
Yay!!
I think they look beautifully textured and elegant! Perfect for writing or drawing leaves outside under a tree on a crisp autumn day
I agree! @Trillian These textured-looking neutrals are calming and classy.
I have been working on two longer-term projects for the last couple weeks and not finishing stuff. It’s satisfying, but I miss finishing! It’s helped a bit that I decided to do my own Thing-a-day for March since I was unable to do it in Feb. Abbeeroad has graciously let me document it in the February thread. I do think I might complete the smaller of the two (a papercraft project) by the end of the weekend, though. I’m still weeks away from completing the larger which is a woodworking project for the house.
I can’t believe how few WIPS I have gotten done…I just want to start all new projects, so maybe it is time again to revisit why I am not finishing them…to start, I am going to see if I am missing a supply, a lining fabric, backing fabric, etc. and then put them together in packets.
Resistance might mean I don’t love the project enough…and need to let go!
Meantime,
WIPGO numbers…
