I am finally feeling up to posting a few projects I’ve made. I had surgery on my kidney November 1, then got sepsis and hospitalized for four days. After a brief scare that I may be hospitalized again, I’m feeling much better and nearly back to my old self.

Prompt: November Battle - Rakes Team: Don’t Stop Beleafing Project Name: Apple Crumble Project Link: Brief Description: I made some crumbles with apples from the CSA. I’m going with Rakes because a lawnmower + fallen apples probably doesn’t mix well.
Prompt: Research Project Team: Don’t Stop Beleafing Project Name: Fall Birthday Party Project Link: Brief Description: I helped put together a pretty big (~70 people) birthday party for my great uncle’s 70th birthday. I was so busy I barely got photos, and didn’t keep up with them as I was making things. (Argh! I always remember AFTER the fact! ) But it was a ton of stuff and a ton of work. It was almost all of my free time for about two months.
Here’s some of what I did and got photos of:
-Centerpieces (10 in total)
-Balloon photobooth area
-Decor on gift table
-Activities: Guess the number of candies in a jar, trivia game, color your own scarecrow magnet, and all associated signage.
-100 popcorn bags/labels
-Sublimation photo blanket (I blurred it for privacy, lol)
I actually did some stuff this month, and finished a few bracelets today, but too dark for pictures. I will post them tomorrow.
For now, just the battle:
Prompt: November Battle – Rakes vs Lawnmowers - Rakes Team: So Corn-fused Project Name: “Orange” soup Project Link: Brief Description:
I love soup, any time of year. But when the weather turns cold, soup is extra comforting. This orange colored soup is the perfect thing. Made with all sorts of hearty vegetables and served with some crumbled feta cheese, it is a popular dish in our household. It is simply called orange soup, as in Hebrew the word for the color orange is different than the word for the fruit, so it doesn’t sound as weird.
I chose Rakes as this soup reminds me of fall colors and falling leaves, which are then raked. Project Photo(s):
Prompt: November - battle - rakes Team:Don’t Stop Beleafing Project Name: winter wonderland design Project Link: Brief Description: I spent most of today altering a design to say Winter Wonderland to create this mosaic blanket pattern. It is now ready for testing. I love this one. The snowflakes have prongs like a rake Project Photo(s):
