Project Name: Tula Pink Potholders
Brief Description: I had some Tula Pink scraps sitting on my cutting table that were too small to be processed into the scrap sizes I like to keep on hand, (2.5" squares or strips, 5" squares or strips, etc) so I used them in some scrappy potholders. I love how cheerful they are! I got the original idea for this style of Quilt As You Go potholder from a YouTube video, using various scraps.

Project Name: Apple Berry Crisp
Project Link: Apple Berry Crisp Recipe (Works for any fruit!)
Brief Description: Having a 4 year old is a wild ride. Sometimes you have the amazing fun of teaching her a silly song from your childhood. Sometimes she serenades you with a song you’ve never heard before, which may be something she learned at school or camp, or something she’s making up on the spot. This was the former. I had never heard the Apples and Bananas song, but apparently she has.

Project Name & Link: Illinois Star Wall Quilt
Brief Description: This piece is both for a friend, and was partially inspired by a social media post. I had been searching for a good free quilt block pattern that could be used as a wall quilt, for a quilting class at Allerton Park. I was looking for something that would appeal to a large range of crafters located in central Illinois, and found the Illinois Star. Many of the tutorials used a 2 color design, but one post on FB had it painted as a Barn Quilt, and used a larger range of colors. It inspired me to tweak it to represent features of the local landscape.

Project Name & Link: Tabbouleh Salad
Brief Description: I invited one of Ada’s friends and her mom over for a playdate, and wanted to make us all a nice lunch. I had lots of cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, fresh parsley, mint and dill to use up, so I made Tabbouleh Salad, with farro standing in for the usual bulgar wheat. It took forever to dice and chop everything, but it tasted amazing. Good thing too, because weather ended up cancelling our plans, and I ended up eating it alone for the next 4 days.
