"She Loves" Spirit Doll

Our church does themed art shows every so often. The theme is “Community of Earth” I made a Spirit Doll to donate, and proceeds go to the church. We have photographers, painters, quillers, quilters, and all kinds of talent participating. “She Loves” is made from natural items collected from the harvest of Mother Nature and is recognized by cultures worldwide. A Spirit Doll of Peace

I was asked for a donation for a fundraiser and choose a spirit doll. Each doll is a unique experience. I pick a theme like Peace, Air, the seasons, a word, and then dive in. I gather found sticks bundle them into a vaguely human shape. I usually end up with a pile of discards, go out in the neighborhood for just the right stick, then come back and do it all over again. Friends of the Forest Spirit Doll

These are being classified as sculpture, guess that fits. I just completed a very successful Spirit Doll class with 10 lovely women at a local Friends of the Forest event. They quickly tapped into their intentions and created unique and very special spirits to hold their intentions in life. I made this doll in prep for the class and then gifted it to the organizer, she had been stalking the doll all afternoon.
