No worries, any excuse to make and eat yummies is ok in my book, regardless of the traditional time for it
As a kid I preferred latkes to sofganyot (jelly doughnuts, sort of) in Hannukah.

Hereās my entry for the Great Lettuce Craft Bakeoff! I made a Gingerbread Bundt Cake with Maple Cinnamon Glaze . The recipe came from the Ahead of Thyme cooking blog. I have a weakness for gingerbread and spice cakes, and couldnāt resist how beautiful this one looked when I saw the recipe, especially with a maple glaze. (This New England girl loves her some quality maple syrup!) Itās topped with chopped pecans, and surrounded by the 3-Ingredient Chocolate Truffles that Iāve beenā¦

Me too!! And I baked scones just this morning - all gone now of course but were served with homemade (and homegrown) strawberry jam! I baked gemberkoek for my mumās Christmas package the other day (shared that recipe here previously).

Ah, I have an entry! Thanks to @AudiobookLover for suggesting it!
Iāve struggled finding meaningful traditions that it feels āworth the effortā to keep up with. Iām married, but childless, and my parents have both passed away. I have one sister who lives in Texas, and she has her own sons there and in Illinois. S.O.'s family is split and scattered across the globe (estranged dad in Panama, mom in Florida, closest Aunt/Uncle in KY, brother in DC, brother in Louisiana - weāre in Virginia⦠You get the idea). So every Yule since my Dad died, it is just the two of ā¦
