I’ve added “Make 5 ATCs” on 10 different squares, so I’ll make 50 by year’s end, but I also added other projects that I’ve been meaning to do or that I want to finish this year.
Jan WIPGO Progress: COMPLETE
G-2 (make 5 envelopes from photos/pages): DONE
*I actually made more than 5, plus some postcards and a little pocket folder (not shown).
This year, I will make 50 ATCs. To hit my goal, I must make 5 ATCs per month. A great way for me to hit this goal would be to claim at least 5 ATCs in each monthly swap, but I also want to make some to have on hand to exchange with local people if I ever manage to get a local swap going…
Finished making “map” ATC for Jan swap it.
Finished making mixed media ATC for Jan swap
Finished making studio ghibli ATC
Finished making “trash to treasure” ATC for Jan swap
Finished making “fantasy creature” ATC for Jan swap

I also want to take a minimum of 1 special photo per month. I really enjoyed doing the “retrospective in photographs” in 2023, but I didn’t take enough photos in 2024 to do this. So here’s a way for me to ensure I do it this year:
January but not quite happy with it. I’m going to try to get to the lake by month’s end to take one. I’ve been thinking I might do a photo of the lake in the same spot each month, actually. Waiting for a heavier snow fall for a good Jan photo. I don’t think the lake will freeze this year.Update: Lake Ontario had some amazing accumulation of ice mid-month. Can’t share the photo here because I might enter it in the fair, but I took it!
Ooh, I’m definitely in for the WIPGO! I’m not sure if I have enough WIPs (this will be a good chance to go through and see just how many I do have), so I really like the idea of being able to combine current WIPs with current goals.
And I’d love to track my projects again this year!

I might have enough for a couple of cards…working on my grid today and going to put all the wips in one place so I can work on them. I am also going to figure out what I need to finish them…I need a few picture frames and possible more yarn so it will help me narrow down what to buy next time I am at the craft stores!
I have so many new projects I want to do as well, so I am going to put them on the card but not start until I finish 3 WIPS as an incentive. Let’s see how that goes!
When I started making notes from memory I only came up with a few … but then I went to the cupboard where WIPs and projects live. Yikes!
Some are just little WIPs, and some are enormous (like the cardigan full of cables). Several are projects where I’ve made a little embroidery or cross stitch, and got together some other fabrics to make it into a finished object, but haven’t actually done the sewing half. And there are two lap quilts that have all the fabrics and patterns sitting together neatly, but no sewing has happened yet.
I gave myself a head start by putting two half-finished garments that I really want to get finished in the January slots - extra motivation!
This is such a fun idea! I know it’s very unlikely I’ll get all of these done, but it’ll be fun to play along with everyone, and maybe get some of them out of the unfinished pile.

I also have a few finished needlework items that need to finished into something! Those would be a satisfying and relatively quick finish for me, so I am going to put them in the January spots as well!
You have a nice mix of things so as not to get bored…many of my items are partially knitted with repetitive patterns, so I think I won’t list all those so as not to get discouraged! Maybe spread them out for future plays!
All the mending seems like a big one to get done! ha There is always SOMETHING that needs mending…always!
Haha! If I can get to the point where I can see the bottom of my mending basket, I’ll call that a win. I always put off mending, there’s always something more interesting to do

First WIP of 2025 done! There was a reason this was a WIP for so long(probably 2020?)…I was trying out a new crochet stitch to make a baby blanket, but I didn’t chain long enough so it was too small. I decided to add a border around it using different stitches, and well, I obviously had not mastered evening out stitches so into the closet it went!
Here it is all ruffled, but finished. My niece had a baby girl that is just one year old and loves everything I make and needs lots of practical things like bibs, wipes, blankets, etc. She is not going to care about the ruffles…it will be used.
I am going to attempt to block it to see if I can straighten it out a bit, but, if not, well, it is not in my WIP pile anymore, so score one WIPGO box for me!
I’m going to participate this year (although I always say I will and peter out pretty quickly). I’m motivated to try to use up some stash items to make room for more.
