I had a brain blast for this prompt last night…and this was not quite it, but I’m rather chuffed with it anyway. Meet Shmachel.
The base for this ATC is from an underpaper, and the monster is a combo of bits I had lying around and a few things sourced from a magazine.

I thought I’d try playing with some pastel crayons. I’ve never used them but can see how fun they may be. Especially mixing the colors. But I think I need to look into the paper I use. I was using a cheap watercolor paper so you can see the texture and I realized you really need to lay down lots of color to cover the surface.
If you’ve used pastels any recommendations or suggestions on techniques you can share would be helpful. Thanks!
