Wow! What a awesome way to support the shelter! Great booth set up, and so fun to see some of your projects out in the world! How cool to have the company match, too. Amazing work!

@Bunny1kenobi What a wonderful way to spend time with coworkers—working together for a good cause. Sounds like it was a lot of work but well worth the endeavour.

@LovelyMiss I love the little scrappy tree ornament, and I’m so happy to have received one of your beautiful graffiti cards :heart:

@gozer thank you for volunteering for the craft show and for company matching; I’m sure the shelter will be thrilled with the help. It’s too bad that many vendors didn’t show up, but hopefully the one who did will be a good help.

@LovelyMiss, I love your bear ornaments and wish I was participating in the ornament swap so I could claim one! Those felt bowls are really neat and I love the look of the leather closure. The felt and leather work well together and give the bowls a very stylish appearance.

@gozer, no wonder you were spending so much time and energy preparing for the craft show! Wow, you created a wonderful booth full of so many different treasures! I especially like the ghost mug rugs (did you create a separate post for them?) and I love the idea of the book ornaments (I would love to create a similar ornament with all the audiobooks I’ve listened to this year). $262 seems like a pretty good amount for a small, slow show. What a great way to give back!

@LindyBlues, what a good way to use up your stash and have cards prepped ahead of time and ready for when inspiration strikes!

Project Name: Custom feederbird and owl cards
Project Link: Little Bird 'tweets of love' tiny notecards
Brief Description: Custom set of feederbirds and owls for the STS made over a couple of days. I cut and scored and then penciled and inked many sets of custom cards at night. This was one of the sets. I then let all the many cards dry overnight so the ink would not smear when erasing the pencil line work. I finished the cards up on the following day. If anyone is curious… the feederbirds are stylized: carolina wren, warbler, and red breasted nuthatch.

I can’t believe how tiny those books and that voodoo doll are. Do you work with a magnifying glass? I think I’d need a microscope to see that.

I don’t usually use a magnifying glass but it’s getting to the point where I probably need one!

I’m not going to skip commenting this time, it seems the time always gets away from me and I just… I have no excuses.

@megwell
Those cards are awesome! I’m jealous of people who can do “quick” things that look so good. And yay for magnets! All of your art is outstanding.

@lindyblues
Oh, I loved it the one time I managed to do Inktober, but I did always end up falling behind. I like your catch-up strategy, that would make it a lot less stressful if I did fall behind. I love the girl on the path! And your take on cards… more cards should be different shapes!

@storerboughcreations
You already know how much I love Mimsy and Whimsy!

@lovelymiss
Those necklaces are beautiful, but that scrappy tree is my favorite. So adorable! Or maybe the bears are my favorite… it’s hard to pick!

@Bunny1kenobi
AMAZING junk journal! I still need to get to work on mine, I am so behind… And your miniatures are perfect, I don’t know how you do it. That cross stitch is so cute!

@gozer
Oh, those Halloween Notebooks are amazing! I love them! And I HAVE to try to make some ghost coasters, those are so so so awesome. And your artwork is stellar, as always!

@bluebird
Those bird notecards are simply precious, I adore them.

Brief Description: Someone dropped off a very battered, terrible looking cat “Cactus” scratching post at the Animal Shelter. I took it home, replaced all the jute cord (after dying it green, that was an adventure) and added some crocheted flowers. I tightened it all up and returned it to them – probably spending more money to “fix” it than to buy a new one, but hey! Recycling! And they love it!
