Prompt: April - Pong
Team: super groovy
Project Name: patio square
Project Link:
Brief Description: we spent time Thursday night and Sunday morning putting these pavers down to make a patio. Before we put these down, there were four old pavers that wobbled leading up to the steps. I’m not an outside person, but we’re slowly making small changes to our new house, and despite the nasty bug beasties, I had fun.

Prompt: May - AOL
Team: Totally Radical
Project Name: shift dress with funnel neck
Project Link: Shift Dress with Funnel Neck
Brief Description: I was going to try the Mary Quant pattern but ultimately went with a different shift pattern because I wanted a different neckline and wasn’t feeling adventurous. I did a whole lot of internet sleuthing to figure out what I wanted and then to ultimately get the pattern. The shift dress is very iconic 60s fashion. And yes I’m ridiculous and teased my hair for the photo.

Event Pin challenge: 1960’s

Team: Totally Radical

Project Name: Mending a strap!

Project Link: n/a

Brief Description: I just mended a strap that had unattached itself on this shirt dress. It’s made by a local brand that focuses on retro styles, especially in the prints they create. To me, this print (and the short cut of the dress) is reminiscent of the anti-housewife-style trends in dresses that were coming about in the late 1960’s. The reference photo below is found on this article/blog.
(In case anyone is also curious, the brand of my dress is Eternal Summer Hawaii.)

@ezrib omg those crepes look amazing!!

@Jae3ird I love that little beetle so much! We really need more bugs around here!

@Bunny1kenobi bahaha 3-hour tour shirts! How cute!

@LovelyMiss thise flower arrangements are beautiful! I love those springy colors and the pop of orange makes me so happy!

@Smeddley not me over here wondering if those yarn flowers are actually fluorescent…

@Tanath I might just be bungry but those puff pastries look amazing!

@craftADDchick YASSS that sweet softies granny square pattern is such a good pattern!!

@Tapestry cute tracking sheet! I admit I have my own weird way of tracking that I’ve managed to make sense for myself (and a not-so-cooperative black-and-white-only printer) but I love seeing what you come up with each month!

@Nightlight cool vibe on your Back to the Future card! Sometimes I think kid-me might be upset that I stil never got a DeLorean…

@Rlynn that dump cake looks so good! I also like that it uses box cake mix, so I might be more likely to try it out myself.
Also, I love the print on your shift dress and that photo (and your hair) is awesome!

@stirlingarts Oh my gosh, that dress is so cute! And that print is PERFECT!
And wow, those crepe paper flowers look so real!
Your mixed media piece is really beautiful. I love those pops of bright red on the green foliage.

@storerboughtcreation Nice job on the pavers! It always seems like such a hassle to get house repairs, etc. completed, but it’s always so nice when they’re done! I hope it makes things easier for you all!

@saintcady that little leaf/twig sticker is such a cute touch!

@gozer oh my goodness I just want to give your little monster a hug! :face_holding_back_tears:
