Prompt/Challenge Title: The Leaky Cauldron
Project Name & Page Link: Wobble Duck
Team: The Three Broomsticks
Brief Description: Started over the summer this little duck required a specialty supply (wobble ball) and I gave myself permission to embroider versus use safety eyes as it was a gift for a newborn.
That is so precious! I love the look of embroidered features on amigurumi.
An urgent owl has just arrived from the Ministry!
Minister for Magic Mission #2
Current Mission: Sept 16th - October 1st, 2025
Dear Magical Friends,
Well done to one and all, for posting a To Do List! Youâre already one step closer to making those things happen. Just by clarifying what you most want to focus on, youâve already made space in your brain for those tasks. Now, continue in this spirit of accomplishment and sharing here, by getting one of those projects on your list DONE!
You may post any one of those items on your To Do list, as a Minister for Magic Mission, and earn 30 points for it, rather than just 10. (Please note this option can be submitted ONCE, and should be submitted as "Minister for Magic Mission #2.)
Sincerely,
Minister for Magic
Hermione Granger-Weasley
Yay! I just finished this.
Prompt/Challenge Title: Minister for Magic Challenge #2
Project Name & Page Link: Vintage Americana Junk Journal Folio
Team: Zonkoâs
Brief Description: I finished up this folio today. Just a fun way to destress and use up some stash.
It looks really cool. I love how the colors go together.
Ooh, one of mine just needs some hand sewing to finish it off - thanks for the push!
Prompt/Challenge Title: Quidditch Pitch
Project Name & Page Link: Pocket Constitution Pamphlets
Team: Honeydukeâs
Brief Description: A lot of libraries in the FDLP (libraries with US government documents collections) do something to mark Constitution Day on September 17th. Our library has never participated, but this year our govdocs processor wanted to give it a try. Unfortunately we reached this decision after the point where trying to order promotional items would be a lost cause. So I found an online printable, created a cover with links to some library, local, and national resources, and made a dozen pocket constitutions for people to take. Our table was going to be in a less trafficked area so that number seemed about right.
Thatâs awesome! Thanks for sharing the link, too. A few years back, I had to stop donating to my alma mater over those little books - they threatened to have someone arrested for just handing them out on campus. Imagine!
Prompt/Challenge Title: MoM Challenge #2
Project Name & Page Link: String Block Quilted Wall Hanging
Team:
Three Broomsticks
Brief Description: These string blocks were one of the first things I made to learn patchwork years ago, and Iâm so happy to finally have them made into something! I also love how it looks vaguely like a stained glass window with the sashing.
Prompt/Challenge Title: Minister For Magic Mission #2
Project Name & Page Link: Nendo Potions Room
Team:
Honeydukeâs
Brief Description:
I bought this deep frame from IKEA a couple of years ago with the intention of making a Nendo scene with it - something one or more of them could hang out in while it was on the wall. The Minister for Magic Mission#1 put it back on my radar. I had NO IDEA what kind of scene I wanted to make, so I looked through my mini things to find inspiration and decided on a potions room. The wall cabinet is from a Barbie shoe rack (from Dollar Tree a couple of yrs ago) that I used Dollar Tree brown nail polish on to turn it from pink into a wood colour. I made a bunch of little books for the cupboard (Another thing Iâd had hanging around) which I used paint and marker to take from blonde wood to brown. The bubble cauldron is a plastic cauldron with about 1/3 cut away from the back and a bunch of Tim Holz clear balls hot glued into formation. Thereâs a plinth of wadded tinfoil in the bottom and a Dollar Tree battery tea light that changes colour. Itâs hard to see in these pics, but the background is a printout of one of the Hogwarts classrooms from the Hogwarts Legacy game that I found online and fits in well! I adore how this came out! Thank you for the Minister for Magic challenge!!!
Since edit isnât showing me where my pics are in the previous post right now, Iâm just replying rather than risk messing it all up.
Prompt/Challenge Title: WIP
Project Name & Page Link: Comfi Cardi for Smart Doll (link goes to video tutorial)
Team:
Honeydukeâs
Brief Description:
Iâve made a few of these in varying sizes now from JoshyBearHuggiesâs MARVELLOUS tutorial. I had made the back square for this some time ago and then gotten derailed. The MoM challenge prompted me to pick this back up and finish it. I love the brown yarn I found to go with the orange. Itâs super soft and feels so cosy! Iâm seriously considering making one of these for myself. The main thing stopping me is the cost of the yarn . . .(Itâs MUCH cheaper to knit and crochet for dolls, LOL!)
Prompt/Challenge Title: The Hogwarts Express
Project Name & Page Link: St Michael Rosary in carnelian and brass
Team: Zonkoâs
Brief Description: Prayer is a powerful restorative for Christians, and no prayer is more powerful than the Rosary. An appeal to St Michael the Archangel doesnât hurt, either. Red carnelian represents strength, courage, resilience, and spiritual growth.
Prompt/Challenge Title: MoM Mission 2
Project Name & Page Link: Stash Busting Silk Scrunchies
Team: Three Broomsticks
Brief Description:
I finished my To Do List item: âFinish stack of silk scrunchiesâ. Huzzah! I have 35 scrunchies, most of which will go in my gift cupboard, plus Iâve stash busted fabric bits that would otherwise end up in a landfill.
Prompt/Challenge Title: North Tower
Project Name & Page Link: Creating the Lovely Little Library of My (Childâs) Dreams
Team: Three Broomsticks
Brief Description:
I fixed up my daughterâs end of our Library/Bonus Room. While I wasnât able to paint the room, I did add a lot of color in the form of her giant pink bean back, pink pompom string lights, pink leaf garland, and star projector. Itâs the fluffy, pink library of a toddlerâs dreams.
Prompt/Challenge Title: North Tower
Project Name & Page Link: Two Half-Cloth Fanbindings
Team: Honeydukeâs
Brief Description: Crossing off the September Book(s) off my personal challenge and my Ministry of Magic list. I donât usually craft with pink when bookbinding, but it fit the characters in this story. First time doing a half-binding in about 15 years - I just winged it but it turned out halfway decent.
Prompt/Challenge Title: Ministry of Magic Mission #2
Project Name & Page Link: Two Halloween Doll Dresses
Team: Honeydukeâs
Brief Description: crossing this line off my list in the nick of time
Prompt/Challenge Title: Three Broomsticks
Project Name & Page Link: Four Halloween doll dresses
Team: Honeydukeâs
Brief Description: The Halloween fabric I bought from Joanneâs on a whim last year. How fortuitous, otherwise I wouldnât have anything new for this season.
How has a whole month already gone by!? I have been working on one of my to do list items, but didnât complete it yet. Itâs fun to see everyoneâs projects! Happy October!
Prompt/Challenge Title: Magnolia Crescent
Project Name & Page Link: Positive Protest Sign
Team: Honeydukeâs
Brief Description: Got together with some family friends to make signs. They wanted something positive and after a bit of googling this is what we came up with. My silhouette machine was drafted for cutting letters and we had a marvelous time with glue. Not perfect, but very peppy.
Thatâs a great protest sign!
Prompt/Challenge Title: The Quidditch Pitch
Project Name & Page Link: Seafoam Cardigan
Team: Zonkoâs
Brief Description: The pattern I used was for a pullover, but I decided to knit a cardigan instead. It required improvising a button band, but it came out alright on the first try.
