I will have to jump in because I’ve already been trying to do this while trying to stash bust! I have some ideas so we’ll see what I can do. Good thing it’s a long weekend!

I have an idea for a huge project that I need my dh’s help for, that we can’t start until Spring Break. I hope it turns out and we get it done in time. If not, I have a project I have been working on that I can use. Either way, looks like it’ll be close to the wire for me to post an entry.

I repurposed otherwise-unusable faded yarn and old/weak thread (as well as discard items like used dryer sheets and lint) to make a Temari ball.

I posted my “plant eating pig preventer” at
We have a pig problem; javalinas–desert pigs–love to eat plants, even ones with thorns. I’ve been wanting raised planters, but finally realized I could repurpose the ratty patio set that was supposed to have been posted on freecycle a while ago.

We did it! My husband and I were able to complete this monster of a project in before the challenge deadline! Even a day early! Woohoo!
Check out my phew, wow chaise to couch transformation. Now I can be comfortable without purchasing new furniture!

Here’s my last minute entry:
When my son was a preschooler my mom bought him a lamp that looked like an airplane.
Here’s a link of how it looked like.
We moved several times since and the lamp moved into a box and disappeared in my work shop…
When we were furnishing his room in our current house I asked him what to do with the empty socket that was hanging from the ceiling. He said “you know, I really liked my old airplane lamp. If only it looked more like a real plane”
Well this is how I transformed it for his 11th Bir…

Here’s my totally last minute submission!

I have been thinking about what to make for this challenge, and it was hard. A few weeks ago I bought some new silicone kitchen utensils, and they came with a rather ugly holder, in bright teal plastic. I knew I’d never use it, and tried to think of ways to repurpose it, but failed, so it went into the recycling. Look how boring it was!
