@gozer, I love all the cute cat coasters; the scribble one is such a neat pattern! I really like the black ones too; I love the way you arranged the different patches. And your ghosts are so cute I also really like your bats; and those notebooks look so well put together! Did you stitch them by hand?

@storerboughtcreation Ooooh, another reason to try to work towards returning to South Caroline at some point. I’ve only been to Charleston and nearby towns, but I loved it so much. Swings by the ocean, great food, and it looks like the perfect place for a nice writing retreat. Some day I’d like to come by with extra money and stay at a fancy hotel and eat at fancy restaurants, too lol! And then go skating, too! Funnily enough, I think roller blading would actually be great for me—the boots hold up my unstable ankles, and as long as I’ve got my knee trackers on, I shouldn’t have an issue. Because the knees have to constantly have a bend in them, I wouldn’t run the risk of hyperextending them backwards (at least I think)… I’ve been wanting to buy myself new inline skates forever… but alas, we have other priorities.

@Smeddley A cactus scratching post!!! That’s absolutely amazing (and adorable). And wow; the lady is beautiful! I love the eyes! I have such a hard time with drawing faces; this is an inspiraiton! The crocheted piggy bank!!! So cute!!! I love things that are adorable and functional, too! tee hee, the little ghost! so cute The pumpkins are adorable, too! And for a cake that had you really frustrated, this turned out pretty awesome!

Also @Smeddley re: Inktober, don’t feel too bad about falling behind… I basically did October 1-6 and then fell off the wagon completely. I’m seriously considering doing a mashup drawing of the rest of Inktober’s days for the heck of it Or using the prompts for inspiration for more ATCs. I love making ATCs. Brief Description: Day 2 of Halloween for my partner was Tina from Bob’s Burgers. Tina’s socks only have one stripe, which I couldn’t find anywhere, so I made a pair with a fabric marker and some red fabric paint. I forgot to take a picture when they were fresh, so this was after a whole day of wearing them at work, lol. They held up okay!

Brief Description: I made these for the BINGO prizes last season. I still had the screen from some shirts I made back in 2018 (I think?) and pulled it out to print again. The tote material was a little more lumpy and thin that I expected, but it still worked out alright. I ended up with 8 okay ones out of 12 bags (various mishaps, like accidently flicking paint.)

Brief Description: I took another wheel pottery class and continued to grow my skills. I liked some of the glazing more this time, and some of my pots are a bit more round. I ended with six finished items. The one with the blue bottom has crushed glass in the glaze and it looks pretty cool (though is not food safe). My schedule means I won’t be able to take another class for quite a while and I’m worried I’m going to lose my meager skill! Hopefully it’s like riding a bike, lol.

Brief Description: At school this year, my team decided to dress as Care Bears (Wearing sweats to school will always get a yes!). My coworker bought headbands to make ears, but she was just going to use pipe cleaners to make an “outline” of the ears. Well, that just wouldn’t do. So, I volunteered to make them. Most of them are felt, but the pink ones are fun foam, and the gray ones are fun foam that I colored with a gray Sharpie. Then, 2 people unexpectedly needed black ones, so I made those during morning homeroom using black construction paper. I couldn’t find any of my glue guns at home, so I had to get up extra early (5:30) to get to school before 7 (I have a 30 minute drive and I had to beat the parent drop off line) so I could use the glue gun in my desk.
