Project Name: Upcycled Ipsy Pouch Knockoff #1
Project Link: Upcycled Ipsy Bag Knockoffs (AKA Zipper Pouches)
Brief Description: One of my coworkers put out a call for Ipsy bags. She fills them with feminine supplies for girls to come in and discreetly grab. When I realized that they were just basic lined zipper pouches, I offered to make her a few. School ended before I got to it, but here are the first two. They are made from a pair of thrifted men’s jeans and a thrifted floral skirt. Zipper pouches always make me happy, and the orange zipper worked well with the floral print.

Project Name: Welcome Bags
Project Link: N/A
Brief Description: Our office was being renovated, and once it was done we were all going to be in the same place for the first time (there was a reorganization and three of the groups in the division all used to be in different divisions/buildings). It doesn’t look like a lot, but I drew on all the bags, made cards that went into the bags, put together the puzzles and then picked out puzzle pieces for everyone to add back in to “make the puzzle whole” because we’re all “important pieces” etc, etc. There were also little fun things and snacks I put together to put in the bags. It was pretty well received! Worth the hours and marker-smudged hands. There were over 50 bags…
