Prompt: February Battle - Reuse
Team: Bits and Bobs
Project Name: Mended coat pocket lining
Project Link:
Brief Description: My partner’s favorite coat has been well used. I did what I could to mend various holes in the pockets without brining new fabric or deconstruction into the mix (that will probably be next time). They’ve been holding up well so far. No more lost items or phone swimming in the coat lining.

Prompt: January - Bullet Journal/Plan
Team: Bits and Bobs
Project Name: Madlib art
Project Link:
Brief Description: Here is my Mad Lib project! I had the vision pretty quickly after generating the prompts. I worked on it over a few weeks. I don’t particularly like it, if I’m being honest. But I tested out some materials and techniques, and it’s fine!

LovelyMiss wanted to make a AIR-themed craft (the blossom petals blowing in the wind)
using or inspired by PAPER.
It featured a variety of colors including
TEAL and PINK.
Everyone remarked how
MYTHICAL and COZY (the dragon and castle, person leaning on tree and sitting by a fire)
it looked when they gazed upon the finished project.

Prompt: January - Clean/Organize
Team: Bits and Bobs
Project Name: Black bag
Project Link:
Brief Description: I had a hand-stitching marathon in January to make some bags for the gift buffet. I made each one over a day or two while binge rewatching Kath & Kim twice all the way through (including movies). They were from pre-cut kits. They still took A LONG time. I was not prepared. Like each one is easily a Big Time. This one I accidentally ripped a small section when trying to fix a couple wonky stitches, so it didn’t make the cut and I kept it. Bags store other things.

Project Name: Chaffles
Project Link: Chaffles for the win!
Brief Description: These feature white cream and red berries.

Bunny1kenobi wanted to make a math-themed craft
using or inspired by metal.
It featured a variety of colors including
Tan and purple.
Everyone remarked how
Peculiar and dazzling
it looked when they gazed upon the finished project.

I made chaffles for the first time! I had to do math to figure out how many carbs were in each waffle (2 carbs!) and I used a metal waffle iron. The chaffles are tan (golden brown and delicious!) with white whipped cream (no sugar) and a few slices of strawberries along with some purple blueberries. To me, waffles made primarily with eggs and cheese are a bit peculiar, but the end result was both dazzling and delicious!

Project Photo(s):

My first thought was to make pie for Pi day but I wasn’t confident in my ability to make a low carb version.
