@tapestry, I really love the waves in this watercolour. They look so realistic!

@Bunny1kenobi, I love the cute little face on the popcorn

@megwell, cool use of stamps! What will you use the flexible stirp for?

I love the envelopes; the placement of the illustrations is so perfect!

@LovelyMiss, your bags are so impressive!

I have no idea what I’ll use it for . Probably journal and/or card embellishment.

I just realized the tin of mini candles looks kind of like an ashtray full of cigarette butts!!! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I thought that’s what it was at first glance. But then saw they had weird tips for a cigarette. Then read your description and realized why

Your tutorial is great, and I love that the size is so customizable

Project Name: Chill-out collage
Project Link: N/A
Brief Description: Recently, we were expecting severe weather overnight, and I was keyed up about it. While randomly harvesting some magazines to chill out, I kept finding pertinent bits. So I decided to glue them down on a scrap magazine page (and then color with crayons, because they were handy). It feels kind of dumb as a craft, but it did help.

Brief Description: I used plastic for a part of this ATC. This is my first time altering a playing card, and the first time I’ve used plastic elements and cut directly into the playing card to fit the plastic.
Project Photo(s):

I’m blurring the photo because this card is very similar to one I just put in the mail for the ATC swap, so I don’t want to spoil it for the recipient.

Project Name: Christmas Cookie Watercolor
Project Link: To come
Brief Description:
Tapestry wanted to make a food-themed craft using or inspired by plastic.
It featured a variety of colors including silver and white. Everyone remarked how bold and jolly it looked when they gazed upon the finished project.

I painted a decorated snowflake cookie with white frosting in a plastic bag tied with a silver ribbon. And it has losts of blue frosting.

I don’t know where the heck the time went this season, but here I am under the wire again!

Prompt: March Battle - Sewing Machine
Team: Bits and Bobs
Project Name: Button fix
Project Link:
Brief Description: Needed to fix a button on my partner’s sweater that gets daily wear. I tried to match the thread color and style. Also, I did go back and fix that slightly loose thread that I didn’t see until I took the photo.

Prompt: March - French Seam
Team: Bits and Bobs
Project Name: The Star Wars shirt
Project Link:
Brief Description: I made this as a present for my partner. It’s the “original” SW logo. I upscaled an image to be large and clear enough to fit a t-shirt, then configured, printed, and heat pressed it with my sublimation set up. I got it about 3 mm off center and it drives me nuts, but you can’t really tell so much when it is being worn.

Prompt: March - Flat Felled Seam
Team: Bits and Bobs
Project Name: Curry
Project Link:
Brief Description: I made this once before trying to replicate a dish from my now closed favorite restaurant. It turned out pretty good this time, but needed more spice. I’ll try again! It’s is Country Captain roasted cauliflower with coconut rice. It required a lot of cutting and chopping.

Prompt: March - Rolled Hem

Prompt: March - Basting Stitch
Team: Bits and Bobs
Project Name: German Chocolate Cake
Project Link:
Brief Description: As is the annual tradition for my partner’s bday, I made a German chocolate cake from scratch. It was very delicious, but I had issues at multiple points. It required a lot of time, was temporary because it was eaten, took lots of moisture, and was brown! A perfect prompt!

Prompt: March - Backstitch
Team: Bits and Bobs
Project Name: Another pasta sauce
Project Link:
Brief Description: I made a version of this so often I already submitted a different one this season. This one was mushroom heavy. I combined it with elbow macaroni and ended up with more of a hot dish. It was actually delicious. I’m learning I really like fennel.

Prompt: Free Range
Team: Bits and Bobs
Project Name: Birthday foods
Project Link:
Brief Description: I forgot to take photos until it was already half done, but I made a spread of food for my partner’s little birthday get together. Veggie tray, roasted asparagus, smoked salmon dip, pan fried scallops with garlic butter, Red Lobster cheddar bay biscuits, and shrimp with cocktail sauce.

Project Photo(s):

Prompt: Big Time
Team: Bits and Bobs
Project Name: Knot Trivets
Project Link:
Brief Description: I tried these as an experiment. They each took 19 feet of rope. It’s a Turk’s Head knot, and while it’s not hard, it was a pain to wrangle 19 feet of 1/2 inch rope. My rope wasn’t stiff, so I attempted to stiffen them after the fact. It mostly worked. I didn’t get a good even distribution of the starch, and it very slightly discolored the rope, so there were tinges of yellow. I have a ton of rope left, so I’m going to try again, and hopefully have them on my holiday gift buffet way later this year.
