At this time of year, as the evenings grow darker, and the wind blows colder, it is easy to see why our ancestors believed the veil between the worlds is thinnest now. The shadows play tricks with our eyes, while the wind sighs through the trees like a voice from beyond. It is the perfect time of year to light a candle, brew a special cup, and divine the great mysteries. I hope you all enjoy this virtual Cabinet of Curiosities, created by your fellow Lettuce Crafters.
Before we begin, be sure to dress for the occasion. Might I recommend this Crystal Ball Pendant by @tendstowardschaos.
And of course, these Ravenlight Fingerless Mitts by @sheepBlue. Perfect to keep your hands warm while still allowing you to shuffle your favorite Tarot deck.
If you’re anything like @TheMistressT, you’ll want to change out of your hard pants, and slip into something softer, liker her Tarot Print Joggers. No one likes to be uncomfortable while searching the cosmos for answers.
Now to set the mood… Black Spell Candles by @marionberries cast a golden glow.
And of course you should purify your space by sweeping it with your Besom (Witch’s Broom), like this one that I made with locally grown plants.
It is my firm opinion that one can never have too many crystals around, when scrying. The best part about these Kohakutou crystals by @RedheadedBlonde, is that they can be eaten afterwards.
Now that you’re comfortable, it’s time to consult the cards. I hope you have them kept safe in a Tarot Card Bag, like this one by @gozer.
Do you have a favorite tarot card? One that speaks to you? I have always loved the art for The Sun. So does @Tapestry, who created this beautiful The Sun & Moon Tarot Shadowcaster. (Be sure to click through, so you can see it illuminated in the dark!)
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen this card before… But The Stitcher by @kittykill, does seem like the perfect card for any of us crafters.
Be sure to write down any notes about your reading, or any spells your thinking of casting, in your Spell Book, like this dark and textured example by @irid3sc3nt.
Or if you prefer something lighter, @RagingSloth has you covered with her Witchy Recipe Book.
If the cards hold no answers, you may wish to consult the spirits directly. A turn at the Ouija board with this stunning Rainbow Resin Planchette by @PhoenixFireDesigns, could be just what you need to find answers.
If your readings show disaster ahead, you may wish to make yourself a poppet for protection. They are often used to deflect negative energy, plus they can be so adorable. Personally, I love this Little Witchy Doll by @Rlynn. So creepy-cute.
And if all else fails, and you learn nothing after your own attempts at divination, you can consult a professional. Little Mistress Mouse (by @Harlan) can sometimes be persuaded to tell a fortune from her little Caravan in exchange for coin, or cookies.
And if Mistress Mouse cannot be found, there’s always Coin-Operated Trelawney by @endymion, who will at the vert least make up a ghastly fate for you!
Such a fantastic round up filled with wonderful projects! Thank you for including my shadowcaster!
How fun! So many mystical projects and am sure more will be coming soon!
This so fun and a wild trip down memory lane. And I love the witchy doll by @Rlynn . She has a special place on my shelf and always comes out at Halloween to cast spells.
So many great projects! Perfect for the season.
So many great projects!
@marionberries ah, I love that.
This is a great list! So many great handcrafted treasures.
The fingerless gloves by @sheepblue get compliments every time I wear them. They are so beautiful and exceptionally well made.
I am still very much in awe of the witch’s broom @MistressJennie made.
And @Tapestry’s tarot shadowbox is infinitely cool.
BRAVO!!! What an excellent collection of all the amazing crafts made by so many of our amazing members here!!
I’m honored to have been included!

It’s such an honor to be included with so many magical projects!
Fun round up as usual! Those mittens make me want to try colourwork again.
I love the Round-Ups! This has an excellent flow to it.
We have a very crafty bunch here. Somehow I had missed a number of projects, so I’m glad to see them now. Quite inspirational!
I’m hoping to make more spell books, but we’ll see if it’s “in the cards” for me.

I see what you did there…
