Brief Description: I made these for the Small Batch Ornament Match Swap. They have red and green. They were made with foam core and paint. I had intended to use texture paste on the foam core to make the brick texture. So I stenciled it on. But I was impatient and hit the paste with my heat gun to make it dry a little faster. In the process, the paper separated from the core, and I was left with super cool molded foam! The texture pasted blocked the heat so it kind of melted around it and left the molded bricks. I then did multiple layers of paint to get the bricks, grout, and graffiti.

Brief Description: I never usually do melt and pour soap but I saw this donkey milk base (WEIRD!!) and had to get some to try. I made them into bubble bars. I made 8 in total. It required a lot of planning and math. I actually made rectangle bars first, hated them, and re-melted and poured using the bubble molds instead.

Brief Description: I made 28 candles in really cool hobnail glasses. I also made other candles in green tins (14) and blue jars (16). I didn’t get good photos of them. But I included them in a collage of a bunch of stuff below. Like all those circle labels for all of my projects. Every single item had a label and most of them two. I designed them and then print and cut them all with my Silhouette. It took me ALLLLLLLLLL day. Like so many hours of cutting. And then I had to attach them. Maybe this should somehow be a research project, but I don’t know how to separate it all and I’m tired, lol.

My goal for next year is to take nicer photos of all of my gift buffet items. It’s so much time and energy to just get these flop pictures. I end up in such a time crunch rush with work right around that time, so adding in the crafting and holidays, I’m just trying to remember to take them at all!

All the food looks so scrumptious and perfect for parties and get togethers as well as gift giving!
I am still trying to figure out how to fit what I have made into the categories, so I will probably be doing my own long scroll post!

My watch, which is also a fitness tracker, has far outlasted it’s original strap. I got bored with the commercial options available, so decided to just sew a new one whenever I need it. This one is the third one I made, I think. I used a random scrap of red fabric and some elastic. It’s sporty because I need to actually wear the watch in order to track my steps.

My daughter and her friends decided to have a small tea party. They all dressed up fancy and we took out the tiny tea set which belonged to my mother when she was a child. I baked a small cake, tried my hand at frosting and decorating it (I need more practice) and made little cucumber sandwiches. And brewed some tea, of course. Tea parties are very posh.

In search for the perfect pizza dough. I only have a toaster oven at the moment, so it’s hard to judge. The dough was tasty but a bit too soft. Once I have a proper oven I’ll try it again, because I think it’s a good one.
The oven uses electricity and the pizzas had a variety of toppings - olives, mushrooms and pepperoni.

I usually make “orange” soup, which my daughter loves, with orange colored vegetables (and a few not orange ones). But, I had some odd types of veggies that I don’t normally use, and that my daughter doesn’t like as much, so I made a soup just for me. Added some cream and blended it all. The stick blender is a tool and it makes a lot of noise when blending.

Brief Description:
For Hanukah, we make fried foods. One big traditional food is sufganiyot, which are usually called jelly doughnuts. In Israel, at least, sufganiyot are not exactly the same as doughnuts. The texture is a bit different. These specific ones are different than the usual sufganiyot. They are smaller and not filled with anything. They are made with yogurt in the batter and are, in my opinion, super yummy and worth the mess in the kitchen. They require heat to make, and the oil sometimes “hops” (and I usually yell at it to stop spitting at me). The results sometimes have spikes that look like horns.

For Rosh Hashanah, we bought a case of special beers and other drinks. One of the beers had honey in it. I’m not a big fan of beer in general, so had an almost full can with no one to drink it. So, I made some bread with it. It was pretty nice as a snack with cream cheese.

@thanate – I also have a fitness watch with a rubber band. I am allergic to it and have just switched from wrist to wrist when it gets too itchy!
Can you share any tips on how you made your band covers? That would be a great solution for me!

so far you’ve posted perfectly, and on occasion even one of us old timers makes a mistake. It happens. Either I or @LovelyMiss will reach out via PM to clarify if we need to.
This season is a bit more chaotic than most with the advent also going, but it’s so much fun having all of those extra prompts at a time of year when many of us go into frantic crafting mode
