Project Name: Three French Hens Ornaments
Project Link: Three French Hens Ornaments
Brief Description: Not one, not two, but THREE french hens! Multiples! And chickens were once eggs? Or did they come before the eggs?

CHICKEN FACTS:

  1. The Bresse chicken is seen as ‘the’ French breed, as it has blue legs, a white body and a red comb, the three colours of the French flag.

  2. The oldest bones of a definite domestic chicken were found at Neolithic Ban Non Wat in central Thailand, and date to between 1,650 and 1,250 BC.

  3. The largest recorded chicken, a rooster named Weirdo, reportedly weighed 10 kg (22 lb) in January 1973 and was so aggressive that he killed two cats and maimed a dog which ventured too close.

Project Name: Athena Cosplay Helmet
Project Link: will add once I get better pictures
Brief Description:
My daughter and her friends are very much into Epic: The Musical. There were a few screenings of the different sagas, with most of the audience cosplaying different characters, and a lot of crowd interaction. For the last screening, my daughter wanted to cosplay Athena. So I dove deep into the cosplaying rabbit hole, learned and purchased a bunch of things, and made her this helmet. It’s made out of EVA foam and hot glue, and painted with acrylics. It was so much fun to make, I see a lot of foam and hot glue in our future

Project Name: Keto Pumpkin Pie Mousse Cake
Project Link: N/A
Brief Description: If you watch a lot of Great British Baking Show (or Canadian, which I’m now on), mousse is supposedly something difficult to make (as is working with non-traditional baking ingredients, such as almond flour, sugar substitutes and dairy substitutes). This cake also uses many different ingredients and electricity (the immersion blender is my friend). And the top vanilla cream mousse layer is white!

Bottom Layer: Maple-Pecan yellow cake
Middle Layer: Pumpkin Pie Mousse
Top Layer: Vanilla Cream Mousse
