The Craft Chameleons are rolling in now, boy howdy! CONGRATULATIONS to @Endymion for crafting all up and around the categories! WOO!
ART
Iām still enjoying making ATCs! (A little less frequent lately, but once I finish a swap, I plan to dive back into making lots more ATCs.)
These two were for @Cindy . Sheās doing an alphabet theme. I made the I Spy one first, but wasnāt sure I liked it, so I made the flamingo. The I Spy is made from old paper ephemera (phonics worksheets, greeting cards, etc.)
The next one was also for @Cindy . Itās an Ambigram, a text-based art form where (a) rendered word(s) can be read at lā¦
Iām still rather new to Artist Trading Cards / ATCs (Just started trading them in January, I think), but I am now a bit obsessed with them!
Just doing a photo dump of all the ones Iāve made since my last ATC photo dump. (Edited to remove ones Iād apparently already posted!)
These two used paint samples.

HOME & GARDEN
Made for the Santaās Sack swap.
I wrapped the wreath with a plush yarn and then attached the other items with hot glue.
Many of the sewing notions came from the local creative-reuse store or my own stash that includes estate sale finds.
The spun-cotton Santa head cupcake pick came through my motherās-side ancestors, who sold bakery supplies from the 1940s - 1960ās.
This mug rug was made for the Santaās Sack swap. My partner said she could use a mug rug, and said she liked vintage things as well as colorful things.
One side was made according to this YouTube tutorial:
[Easy Fabric Weave ~ Half Inch Postage Stamp Weave]
You make half-inch strips of fabric and then weave them together before stitching them with a decorative stitch. I learned that decorative stitches take LOTS of thread. And of course, mine turned out way wonkiā¦
Yesterday, I intended to make two mug rugs and a tote bag to give as Christmas gifts. BUT ā¦ I never got beyond the first mug rug. Finished today, and it was a learning experience!

This is for my sister. In the morning, she loves to sit with a cup of coffee and a bowl of fruit, watching the many birds that gather at her large bird feeders. At a recent visit, I enjoyed the morning birdwatching also.
This is a picture of the place she usually sits to bird-watchā¦
FASHION & WEARABLES
I finished this about a year ago, but donāt think I ever posted it (forgive me if I didā¦ my memory isnāt the best.)
It is a copy of something Iād been admiring on Pinterest for years. More info on that (as well as a picture of the aspirational piece) here .
For some reason, I decided the gray parts should have a velvety lining, so I stitched that in place after I was done crocheting. (Not a feature of the original inspiration-photo project.)

Although it looks great and feelā¦
For the Santaās Sack swap, I made a crocheted scarf for my partner, who said she liked the look of granny squares.
It had been a while since I made granny squares. (Oh, those many pesky ends to be woven!) But it was still fun, and I was pleased that it turned out as I had envisioned. Hope she enjoys wearing it!
In the Flate-Rate-Box swap, my partner @MightyMitochondria said she liked boho jewelry. So I made this for her.
I was excited to be able to use the embossed metal ring, which I got earlier during the pandemic when @MistressJennie shared info about a Vintaj giveaway. The metal ring was one of my favorite things I received from that giveaway.
I had the tie-dye-ish silk strips and they seemed perfect for this project. Assembly was super simple; I just put them through the ring, then wraā¦
FIBER & TEXTILES
For the Flat-Rate-Box swap, I was paired with biology teacher @MightyMitochondria . I used to teach some neuro/EEG topics to sleep techs, so I figured Iād go with a neuro theme for the box. The main thing I was sure I wanted to make was a model of a neuron, done in crochet.
Here is an in-progress shot.
It shows the purple telephone wire that I used to make the dendrites hold their shape.
This was such a fun project! I hope itās useful; not sure how much neuroanatomy is actuaā¦
Had a vintage pattern (1950ās I think) for a pot holder, and worked it up using crochet thread.
ā¦and it ended up being the size of a coaster! I may do it over with yarn, but until then, I have a cute coaster. I attached felt to the bottom for better absorbency.
Made these blingy Teesha-Moore-style patches for a personal swap with @roler .
We are both trying to get enough patches to create binder covers for ATC binders. As some of you may know, she actually has two binders; one of them is exclusively for her PokƩmon ATCs.
I made the word one thinking she could use it for the spine, so I hope that works out, size-wise. And I do have a deep love for sequins, so she might need to squint if she ever looks at her binder in full sunlight!

FOOD & DRINK
In Shop the Swap this year, I offered decorated cookies. @susieoregon requested classic Universal film monsters: Frankenstein, Wolfman, Dracula, etc.
They were so much fun to make!
When my (grown) son saw them, he placed his own order for movie monster cookies. But he wanted mostly modern horror movie characters rather than the old classics. So I made a batch for him, too.
I wasnāt familiar with some of these charactersā¦ how about you guys? Maybe I should offer a prize tā¦
Iām participating in Shop the Swap for the first time, and decided to offer made-to-order decorated cookies. They have been my most popular items! I used to make these kind of decorated cookies and other sweets semi-professionally, but stopped doing it years ago. Itās been fun to dabble in it again!

PAPER & VINYL CRAFTS
Some cards Iāve made for the Happy Mail Craftalong this year. (Not all are pictured; I always manage to forget to take pictures when I am busy crafting.)
The ones above were sent in February; the ones below in January.
For the January ones, I used some vintage floral illustrations that were designed for classroom education, as well as some vintage encyclopedia pictures and other things random things I had in stash.

Recently jumped into the world of ATC trading. It has been so much fun so far!
First one ever, was made for @gozer ās āAnimals Readingā theme. The rabbit has his paw on a book, so Iām counting it as reading! It was done with watercolor pencils, watercolors, and ink.
I thought it was too boring at first, so I kept working into the background until it was well over-worked! Ha!
Hereās a doodle-y one for @photojenn that was inspired by something I saw on Pinterest.

It was fun cutting and stitching and pasting these (although I did ruin one by stitching too much, to the point that the card tore.)
Happy Valentineās Day!
