@momiemae , Just FYI, you may submit one project per LC Board category , for up to 6 entries (1 per each of our 6 boards). Since both your entries were from the Home & Garden board, I’ve only added in the your first entry (Embroidery Turned Into Pillows). Let me know if you want me to switch it, to be Greta Green instead.

I made some cute/ spooky cards
I made these sparkly pointillism cards… it’s a bit late in the season but they will go in my STS shop.

Thanks for looking!
And here’s the table runner that I made for the Halloween swap:
I made this for my partner in the All Hallows Eve swap. She has a big table and was hoping for a table runner of epic proportions.
[IMG_5401] It’s very long!
The purple side is stenciled with silver spider webs and the reverse is plain black, to give her plenty of decorative options.

I am loving all the different projects! I was going to stop making Halloween things, but I still have a few more I hope to make by the end of the week.
Keep on posting!

The chunky house swap is fantastic this year, and two more joined happy haunted homes.
I have participated in the Chunky House Halloween swap for years, dating back to…well, you know.
This year was spider-themed since I was webbed into creating the little friendly things.
Spooky and seemingly benign pumpkin patch and a witch brewing up a potion to maybe help the world, both guarded by spiders.

And what is Halloween without a fun Trunk or Treat display. I was an old lady shopkeeper with an uninspiring costume…no pic of that.
You know you have been around the crafting swap world for a while when you can stock a whole toy store with your own collection.
Our church’s annual Trunk or Treat is a blast. This year we get a trunk full of dolls/critters/stuffies. Most of these dolls are the wonderful result of swaps over the years (recognize any?), thrift finds, and even my own creations.
And I gave away Halloween rubber duckies, bouncing eyeballs, and pumpkin colored pencils.

Here’s my Chunky houses I also wanted to enter.
My swap partners both have received and I wanted to add this to the Halloween Spooktacular entry. This was my first time joining this swap and was a bit nervous on how to start. It turned out much better than I thought. I had so much fun making these.
I used upcycled cardboard from food package for the main house.

TheMisterT is going through an AI photo phase and made this gold hoard for Vivienne to guard while wearing her dragon costume!
[DragonCostume03]
I made the wings a few years ago to fit onto Delia’s harness and decided to use them for a costume for Vivienne. I used a store bought harness to make a pattern and leftover metallic fabric from the wings and black polar fleece from stash to make a “vest.” Then sewed the wings to it.

A friend and I had seen the online class and kit that Tim Holtz was doing through Simon Says Stamp and were both soooo tempted. Alas, we’d also already spent out Halloween crafting budget so weren’t willing to spend $99 on the kit (which was still a great value). However, the class was free (on YouTube) and we decided to do it using our own materials a week after the live class
It was a ton of fun to craft on video with my friend in California while we each ran the replay of th…

I made this as a Christmas gift but it’s definitely got a Halloween vibe!
I painted this for my son for Christmas. He bought a hoodie with a similar image on it but the hoodie itself was of poor make with subpar materials. He was extremely disappointed. I hope he will like my version better!

Here’s my entry for the Spooktacular - my lil Halloween diorama.
Hi All,
It’s been a long time since I’ve posted here but with TheMistressT’s encouragement I thought I’d come out of hibernation to post the Halloween diorama that I made while she and I worked through that awesome Tim Holtz class (free on YouTube) she links in her Witch’s Apothecary Diorama post. As Tara mentions, we mostly worked from our stash to create these pieces, which was a fun challenge - and I learned some new techniques from the class. It was fun to work together/apart and be able to…

On Thursday night I had the opportunity to take a class in making Besoms, aka Witch’s Brooms from locally grown and foraged materials. It was taught at Allerton Park, which is a Turn of the Century historic mansion, now owned by the University of Illinois. They run a Folk School, which offers classes in the old barns and greenhouse, taught by people in the community, such as Weaving, Storytelling, Stargazing, Foraging, etc. This class was taught a woman named Remington, from Deli…

This year my daughter is 3. A very mercurial 3, who changes her mind and moods often. I started asking her in August, wha she would like to be for Halloween. She said a pink dragon. Over the weeks she stuck to it, but elaborated to explain the dragon would be pink, but with some purple and turquoise.
Since she still wears pieces of the Strawberry Shortcake costume I made 2 years ago, I knew she would want to play dress up after the holiday. Therefore it would have to be sturdy, …

I made my DS2’s Halloween costume this year - he went as Yuji Itadori from Jiu Jitsu Kaisen.
DS2 wanted to be Yuji Itadori from Jiu Jitsu Kaisen for Halloween. I asked if I could make his costume for him and he reluctantly agreed. Lucky for me, my sewing skills made the grade. He really liked it and was very comfortable.
