It’s the most wonderful time of the year… Halloween! The perfect time to let your Spooky Heart shine with creeptacular costumes, super scary decor, and beautifully macabre baked goods. So pull out your most mysterious supplies, and scrounge up every bit of your crafty magic in your wand, to create something unforgettable!
YOUR MISSION - CRAFT SOMETHING FOR SPOOKY SEASON!
The Rules:
Your project may be in any craft medium, which is represented or welcomed here on Lettuce Craft. This could include a Halloween costume (or group/family costume), a home decor item, outdoor decorating, pumpkin carving, paper crafted masterpiece, art piece, etc, etc.
If you create a costume: it may be for yourself, or for a family member or friend. You may have help or collaborate on the costume with an immediate family member like your spouse. It may contain some purchased elements, but must be predominantly handmade by you.
Each member may submit UP TO 6 entries; with one ENTRY PER LC CATEGORY BOARD. (Our Category Boards are Art, Home & Garden, Fashion & Wearables, Fiber & Textile, Food & Drink, and Paper & Vinyl Crafts.) If you wish to submit a group or family set of costumes, it will count as 1 entry (on the Fashion & Wearables board).
All entries must be posted by midnight on November 5th.
The winner of the Halloween Spooktacular Challenge will receive a $20 Amazon gift card!
Additional Details:
You should submit your entry by creating a project post on the appropriate Board, in the Completed Projects sub-board.
You are REQUIRED to have a descriptive title and then include “- Halloween Spooktacular Entry 2025” (example: Jennie’s Frankenstein Costume - Halloween Spooktacular Entry 2025). Once you have posted your submission, you need to reply to this thread with a link to your post. If you do not do this, your entry will not be considered.
As this Challenge was posted later than usual, any projects fitting the challenge that had already been posted between September 1 and October 15, 2025, may be entered into the Challenge. Simply edit your project post title, to reflect it as an entry, then post a link here.*
*For Example: On September 24th, 2025, @gozer posted her lovely More Pumpkinhead Peg Dolls on the Art Board. If she wanted to enter them into the Challenge, she would simply change the title of her post to “More Pumpkinhead Peg Dolls - Halloween Spooktacular Entry 2025”, then post a link here in this thread. Easy Peasy.
Voting will happen on November 6th - 12th.
The winner will be announced on November 13th.
If cheating of any sort is discovered, the applicable entry and votes will be disqualified.
If you have any questions, or want to chat about your crafting progress for this challenge, post it here! Let’s have fun!
Oooo! I love this challenge, because I love seeing all the Halloween-y crafts our members make!
I haven’t gotten to make much in the way of big projects for Halloween for a couple years, but this year I did and I just finished yesterday and posted it this morning. Still hoping for a few better pics, but here’s my entry for the Home & Garden Category.
Fun - I’ll enter for Art with The Witch’s Wardrobe. If I get around to finishing my work retreat outfit, I can enter that for fashion. It’s not a costume but very Halloween inspired.
